Intruduction :

If you are interested with PixPi, you’re probably interested with digital photography too. That is because PixPi is unique accessory for photographers, that wipe the trails for those who want to try more sophisticated photograping techniques, like high speed photography, extreme macro or some advanced timelapses.
Pixpi is kind of device, that photographers would probably call trigger, but because of it`s modularity and that it is programmable, it can handle much more. It`s more like a controller that can transfrom blockly code into outstanding photography.

how Pixpi handles high speed photography?
it does it by driving camera, flashes and “action modules” or “sensor modules” in way specified by user using sequence/program editor for project.

On controller You can find these outputs:

-1x camera port for camera triggering

-2x Flash port`s for triggering flash lamp

-3x modules ports, for action modules, motion  or sensors modules

modules:

Action modules:
-valve module that will be produce droplets for coliding droplets photography
-liquid gun module that will shoot will colorful liquid, for some splashes etc.
-vibration module for ‘dancing liquids’
-gripper module for dropping things, like fruits
-pneumatic gun module for smashing things

Sensor modules:

-sound sensor

-optical sensor(work in progress)

Motorized modules:

These types of modules can work only on port Red configured in “com” mode.

-Extreme macro rig(work in progress)

-Timelapse sliders(work in progress)

Current work stage on this type of modules is that i have stepper motor driver module and working one wire bi-derectional communication

 

You have three ports and ability to program them so with combination of above modules gives You ability to create something new.
